In recent years the The Prowl motorcycle event has drawn criticism and raised concern among residents and the city council who last week addressed concerns and problems before moving forward with approving a special use permit for the event in 2025.
Bisbee Mayor Ken Budge said at the September 17, council meeting a prior meeting was held with the Bisbee Police Chief, Fire Chief and city officials to make sure that problemsfrom the past few years were addressed.
Budge did say that last year the council addressed concerns that arose from the 2023 event, regarding organizers not allowing people access to the sidewalk to get to local business on the gulch or to their homes without paying an admission fee. Another issues addressed after the 2023 event was the parking situation which caused concern for emergency vehicle access in the area.
