Two arrested on drug charges after search warrant executed

Two Bisbee residents have been arrested and booked into the Cochise County Jail on several drug charges after police executed a search warrant on Strong Row in Warren.

Friends of the Bisbee Animal Shelter given funding extension

he Bisbee City Council approved a 30-day funding extension to the Friends of the Bisbee Animal Shelter for operations at the shelter while the city prepares a new request for proposals for animal care services at Tuesday night meeting.

Councilman Bill Higgins made the motion for the funding in the amount of $4,999 for FBAS, “since competitive bidding is impracticable at the current time we issue a new RFP and extend the funding to the Friends of the Bisbee Animals Shelter for 30 days or until an acceptable RFP is received whichever comes first.” All councilmembers voted in favor of the extension while Bisbee Mayor David Smith was not in favor of the extension and voted nay…read full story (online subscribers only)
