A Hereford man is dead after he slammed into the back of a Bisbee Police Department patrol vehicle Saturday night following a high-speed pursuit.
According to information from Carol Capas, Cochise County Sheriff Office Public Information Officer, the accident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Highway 80 just west of the Mule Pass Tunnel.
Capas reported, the incident unfolded after motorcyclist, 28-year-old Douglas Schroeder of Hereford, struck a Bisbee fire truck on Brewery Gulch that was in the area responding to a fire call and then fled the scene as Bisbee fire was making contact with Bisbee Police, despite being instructed to remain at the scene of the accident.….read full story (online subscribers only)
