The people of Bisbee know how special nature is within and around the small city in the Mule Mountains. They know how extraordinary stargazing is from anywhere in town.

Now, the city is on a global radar for recently becoming Dark Sky International’s 21st certified Dark Sky location in Arizona. And with the Four Corners region of the Southwestern United States having the most Dark Sky locations in the world, Bisbee will hopefully remain a place for residents and become a place for adventure seekers and night sky enthusiasts to enjoy for years to come.

.The Bisbee Dark Skies initiative, which six years ago was spearheaded by Bruce Syrett, an astronomy enthusiast for over a half a century, was launched as an effort to preserve nightly nature.
