Since 2018, the Bisbee Holistic Wellness Center, located at 24 Howell Avenue (in the original Copper Queen Hospital building), has been a healing hub for the high-altitude, mineral-rich community – dubbed the “vortex of healing.”
The alternative health services center started as a collaborative effort of 30 health practitioners from Bisbee and southeast Arizona with diverse professional backgrounds.
“At the time, the building was in disrepair, with an overgrown courtyard and significant interior needs,” said Gale Frances, president of the board of directors. “The original group – a spinoff of Bisbee’s Alternative Therapies Clinic – sought to expand services beyond short, 20‑minute sessions offered for about 20 years.”
