The Bisbee Bloomers, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to keeping the streets of Bisbee beautiful, are once again geared up to show off some of the city’s prettiest gardens. The annual event has been taking place since 2000, when a group of five local people (Carole Beauchamp, Fred Miller, Margaret Hartnett, Jan Munsey and Jean Beuchle) started the group.
During the past year, the organization welcomed a new board member, Monica Lumiere, joining current members, Kay Lynn Cummins, Alison Williams, Jason Macoviak and Debbie Blackburn. They comprise a strong, experienced board whose biggest challenge every year is finding new gardens.
The 2025 garden tour promises to pack a new punch with a bonus stop a few miles out of town, and, as music is a staple of Bisbee, it will include a porch music festival. “We are really excited to announce that this year we are adding music in all the gardens,” said Cummins.
