After the sudden departure of the former Bisbee High School (BHS) principal the district wanted to move quickly to find a replacement for the 2025/26 school year.

In total nine applications applied for the principal position, from the selection of applicants six were selected for the interview process with five actuality taking part in interviews by a committee of seven who ended up recommending BHS Dean of Students Joni Giacomino for the position.
