Charter Amendments Will Go To Voters

The Bisbee City Council approved by way of a resolution a number of charter amendments that will go to voters in November at the June 2 city council meeting.

The council approved Resolution 26-16, authorizing an election on seven of the 10 recommended charter amendments submitted by the charter review committee.

The first recommended change approved by the council was to change the gender language in the charter to “he” to “he/she” or “his/hers”, replacing the current language anywhere “he” is used.
