A few days after a contentious discussion at the April 7 city council meeting the Bisbee Restoration Museum withdrew their offer to gift the city the Fair building located at 37 Main St.
Back in February the city council directed the city attorney and interim city manager to move forward with negotiations with the Board of Directors of the Bisbee Restoration Museum to figure out what needs to be done in order for the city to own the building.
Fast forward to April 7, the city held a work session to go over the proposed lease agreement, discuss the title search, revenue and utility expenses and the condition of the building. The council also discussed concerns regarding the structure and safety of the building.
