The city has scheduled a budget work session next week to discuss the 2026/2027 tentative budget which includes a proposed reduction in sales tax revenue as the current year sales tax revenue continues to fall short.

According to the budget works session agenda the proposed tentative general fund budget set to be discussed is $10,405,088 which is about $100,000 less than the 2025/26 general fund budget.
