A petition requesting the city draft an ordinance that would prohibit ICE from using city owned property to stage enforcement operations and blocking the use of city resources for enforcement was addressed at the March 3, council meeting.

After hearing from several speakers including Jennifer Druckman, the resident who submitted the petition to the council, gave staff direction to file the petition with the city clerk as an official record of the city. But not before the council expressed their feelings and responsibility to do what is in the best interest of the city.
