Main Street is expected to re-open to through traffic in both directions soon, according to the announcement made during the city manager report at the August 6 council meeting, after being closed for over six months due to a fire on Main St.
According to Bisbee City Manager Stephen Pauken, the plan is to open the road back up to through traffic in both directions at the end of August or first part of September.
Pauken said the city and the owners of the Letson Loft are now in a position to start removing the braces. He did say before the bracing could come off, a wall of the building now owned by the city would have to be dismantled brick by brick for safety reasons.….read full story (online subscribers only)
