Based on the October financial report city sales tax revenue is falling short of projections for the fiscal year in the general fund.
According to the financial report from finance Director Keri Bagley, sales tax revenue is about $396,000 below projection as of the October report.
Bagley also reported state sales tax is on track at 34 percent and vehicle license tax is slightly behind at 32 percent. Licenses and permit revenue are at 39 percent. Also ahead of projection is building and sign permit revenue at 61 percent which is about $42,000 more than expected for this point in the year. Bagley also reported, “charges for services revenue is at 39 percent with most of the larger revenue categories being on track with what was budgeted.”
