Correa Sentenced, Sheriff’s Office Confirms New Investigation

Former Chief Civil Deputy Attorney Paul Correa was sentenced last week on charges related to his December arrest for evidence tampering after he was found to have deleted videos he recorded of a 12-year-old girl in Target last December.

Correa took a plea deal for tampering with physical evidence, a class six felony in May and was sentenced on August 4, to three years of supervised probation and must undergo a mental health evaluation.

According to the plea agreement Correa, on December 17, 2025, knowingly deleted video from his cell phone after police were called to the Target parking lot after receiving a call that Correa had been filming an underage girl inside Target.
