Council Approves Contractor For Retaining Wall Reconstruction

At a special meeting of the mayor and council on August 11, the council approved a professional service agreement for retaining wall construction at 61 Brewery Ave.

The council approved an agreement with Seller and Sons in the amount of $274,770 for the reconstruction of the retaining wall owned by the city that has failed and has been deemed a safety issue.

According to information in the agreement, in the scope of the work includes all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies to perform the repairs detailed on the plans, including excavation and removal of debris from the failed retaining wall, construction of the new footing, cast in-place shotcrete retaining wall, slotted drainpipe with filter sock, fence, drainage and restoration of all disturbed areas.
