The Bisbee City Council recently passed a resolution declaring a housing emergency in Bisbee.
Bisbee Mayor Ken Budge said at a January work session, about nine percent of the homes in Bisbee are now designated Airbnb’s, contributed to the affordable housing problem. That issue along with the city’s desire to have the state allow for local control over housing and zoning decisions led to the council passing a resolution declaring a housing emergency.
