A last-minute write in candidate has submitted their name for the July Primary election for the Ward I council seat, after it was announced councilmember Lori Reynolds was resigning effective June 1, 2026 and no longer going to be on the ballot.
Old Bisbee resident, Cooper Raphael, submitted documentation Friday, hours before the deadline to enter the race as a write-in candidate for the upcoming Primary election.
Interim City Manager Ashlee Coronado said Raphael’s name will not appear on the ballot but Ward I voters will be able to write her name in on the ballot. She also said Raphael did meet the deadline to be a write in candidate which was Friday, May 22 at 5 p.m.
