The Cochise County Sheriff Office is investigating a murder at a homeless camp in San Jose that went unreported for two days until a person came forward to report it.
According to information from the Bisbee Police Department who responded to the call to the homeless camp behind the shopping center in San Jose after a person went to a residence in Warren stating they wanted to report a murder at the homeless camp. When officers arrived at the homeless camp they located a deceased person who appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds had been set on fire.
While at the scene Bisbee Police called the Cochise County Sheriff Office (CCSO) after confirming the encampment was in county jurisdiction and turned the case over to them.
