A new men’s clothing store, Blue & Stone, which has up until recently been an unseen site in Bisbee, recently celebrated its grand opening on May 16 and 17 at its location on 24 Main Street. And based on the steady flow of traffic and the customers’ reactions over the weekend, it is a much welcome addition to the town.
The store, which offers apparel and lifestyle products inspired by high desert living, is the first business for local owner Casey Lau. The inspiration to open his own men’s clothing store came from a popular shopping district in Charleston, South Carolina – where he lived for 10 years before moving to Bisbee earlier this year.
Although it was the experiences from the past decade that led Lau to open Blue & Stone, he did have previous retail experience working for Nordstrom for almost two decades, which helped build the idea. While working there, he observed that people still like to shop, especially when they’re on a weekend trip.
