The City of Bisbee was served with a notice of claim (NOC) from the owner of 28 Main St. who is seeking the city pay damages in the amount of $425,000 or “unwind” the settlement agreement which according to the NOC was fraudulent.
According to the NOC served to the city on September 14 by Lancer Law, representing Pamela Heiman, the owner of the property located at 28 Main St., the transfer of the property located at 30 Main St. previously owned by Craig Reece and Anne Bush was fraudulently conveyed to the city after a fire on February 14, 2024, which destroyed 30 Main. St. and damaged Heiman’s property at 28 Main St.
Reece and Bush conveyed the 30 Main St. property to the city in late June after the council approved a settlement agreement with them which included them deeding the property to the city as a way for the city to recoup some of the over $400,000 the city expended to secure Main St. after the fire..….read full story (online subscribers only)
