No Suspects In BHS Shooting Threats Case
What used to be a rivalry between two schools with a few pranks, and some bantering turned into outright vandalism that caused extensive damage and threats leading to police involvement.
Last week news broke that severe damage had been caused to Douglas High School (DHS), their stadium, and track. The extent of the damage is still unknown as Douglas Unified School District (DUSD) awaits estimates to either repair or replace the turf and track after obscenities and other phrases were spray painted on them.
Douglas Police Department, Public Information Officer John Owen said Tuesday morning, the case remains under investigation but that he could confirm Douglas PD has identified persons of interest and are actively pursuing them. He said he could not confirm the names and ages of the persons of interest but said once he has more information he would reach back out.
