The Cochise County Board of Supervisors (BOS) voted last week to adopt a resolution regarding the establishment of the Cochise County Jail District.
Resolution 25-24, adopted by BOS by unanimous vote, orders the continuation of the jail district continued establishment contingent upon voter approval of the .05 percent excise tax at the November 4, 2025, election as well as specifies if approved, collection of the tax will terminate upon full repayment of any secured financing or by July 1, 2043, whichever occurs first.
