The Bisbee Breakfast Club (BBC) lease will not be renewed in September 2025, according to Freeport McMoRan, due to deterioration of the buildings, has led supporters of the BBC to start a campaign to save the iconic staple of the Lowell area.
Freeport McMoRan External Communications Manager, James Telle, said in early 2024 BBC owner Chris Reece was notified that the lease scheduled to expire in late 2025 would not be renewed due to the aging condition of the building, which is compounded by general subsidence in the vicinity.
That news has set the search for a new location to keep BBC in Bisbee as well as triggered Lowell Americana Project members Dan Simonis, left, pictured with BBC Manager Mitzi Satterfield, and Jay Allen to try and get Freeport to reconsider their decision so that BBC can stay in Lowell.…….read full story (online subscribers only)
