After multiple attempts and nearly a year of discussion, the city has finally approved a tourism marketing service agreement with a Tucson firm at the July 21, city council meeting.
The city received 10 tourism marketing service proposals that were evaluated by a six-member committee who scored the submission based on the criteria submitted in the request for proposals (RFP) and ultimately decided the Gordley Group of Tucson checked all the boxes after the selection committee requested additional information from the highest ranked firms.
Under the agreement the city will remain as the designated Destination Marketing Organization (DMO). The Gordley Group will provide marketing, advertising, promotion, public relations, stakeholder engagement, and related tourism marketing services in support of the city’s tourism program.
